I am a volunteer in a Humane Society no-kill facility and this course has been very helpful for me. I am a recently retired RN nurse practitioner so I have a lot of health care education and experience for people and this course provided a lot of practical information for companion animals. It was a pleasure to take this course.

I am in my late 40's, and my mom owned a kennel my whole life, until she passed last year. That being said, I was amazed at the things I remember her doing as I read the lessons, but never really knew exactly why. It was so enlightening. I learned so much that made sense to me, now that I am older. The instructor was very clear, and understanding. This course was absolutely excellent!! I took the class because I love my dogs and wanted to learn how to take better care of them. The instructor reinforced so much of what my own veterinarian has said or done during different life cycles with my dogs. Now I have a MUCH better understanding of why I should take the preventive measures that I should take, the differences in certain medications (flea treatments especially!) and also the hazards and symptoms that I need to watch for with them. Again, it is an excellent class, I would suggest it to anyone looking for great veterinary technician instruction and I look forward to taking the other two modules! Thank you!!

I have been transcribing workers' compensation medical-legal reports for years. This course was an eye opener into what I lacked, what is missing in my reports, and my level of competence. I got busy and copied mountains of pertinent information to be studied again and again at my leisure so I can upgrade my skills. I have had a secret desire to work as a transcriptionist for a hospital or the County Medical Bureau, but I am
nowhere near prepared. This course was of immense value in helping me assess my current level of competence. I plan to practice transcribing reports over and over again. Thanks so much for the templates. I cannot express enough how valuable this course was for me.

I've taken a few courses, and this has been my favorite one. More than in any of the other courses, each individual lesson felt like something really substantial that packed the maximum amount of information into a concise form. Jennifer Della'Zanna has a perfectly engaging writing style and manages to organize a pretty dense amount of data combining both a general purview of the medical field and the specifics of the transcriptionist's trade. The assignments that allow one to download audio dictation samples to work with also give a good feel for the demands of the profession right from the very beginning.
