Teaching Students With ADHD - Frequently Asked Questions

Your questions answered

Do I have to start my course on the start date?

No. Once enrolled, you’ll receive access to the learning platform and can familiarise yourself through the orientation. Once the start date lapses you will gain access to two lessons a week, for six weeks. You’ll then get an extra 2 weeks at the end to complete your final exam. You can study at your own pace; however we do recommend that you complete each lesson within two weeks of its release so that you manage to complete the course within the 8 week access period.

How long will it take to process my enrolment after I’ve enrolled?

There are no processing times, so you can access your learning platform immediately! If your course has not started yet, you can go through the orientation and familiarise yourself with the learning platform. Your enrolment confirmation email will provide all of these details.

What kind of assignments will I have to complete?

You will complete multiple choice quizzes, short answer questions and summary exams/test(s) which will confirm your understanding of the subject.

What do others think?

‘This last week has helped me understand so much of what my son (with ADHD) deals with at school.  I have used many of the strategies suggested and have been so happy.  All the examples given in the reading made me feel as if I was reading about him.  He loves video games and hockey is his favorite sport.  Now I can use the specific strategies that were suggested.   I am careful now on questions I ask him.  I am so pleased and realize he is giving it his all.  I can hardly believe I used to tell him to focus.  I understand now that he was focusing.’
